Straight out of Schenectady, New York, Dead-Lift has been rocking hard since 2003 and has no plans to stop the invasion of proving pop music to be bullshit. The band follows no genre; they play tunes that come from the heart. Every song the band writes follows a different path of influences which really makes for an incredible mix of Metal, Hard rock, Rap, Fusion, and whatever else you could try to classify Dead-Lift. They have opened shows for such bands as Korn, Deftones, Stone Sour, Flyleaf, Powerman 5000, Hed PE, 10 Years, Bullets & Octane, Bury Your Dead, Twiztid, Blaze ya Dead Homie, Gizmachi, Madball, Sworn Enemy, 40 Below Summer, 12 Stones, and many more.
Dead-Lift won Channel 103.1's Most Original Band Contest in 2006 and earned an opening slot on the Family Values Tour with Headliners Korn and Deftones.
With the mix of incredible song writing, an off the hook stage show, and the desire to take the band to the next level, the band has been offered numerous record contracts which the band quickly declined once reading in between the lines. The band is in search of a good label to represent their music and help spread their message to the masses.
With that being said, the band is fighting very hard and has released their long waited debut album "The Struggle". The Struggle is a great way to understand what Scott Thomson (vocals), Paul Sacchetti (guitar), Josef Reilly (bass), Brian Kurtz (guitar) and Bob Lavoy (drums) are all about. Tracks like "Tainted Mind", "Just Like You", "Left Behind", "My Sunday", and much more really explore the minds and talent the band posesses. Just about every song touches on a different concept lyrically and musically. "The Struggle" is a great landmark of the bands progress over the past few years and it is guaranteed to keep listeners ears to the stereo.
If you have not watched a live show or listened to any of their 3 recordings; it's time to listen up, because this band is making their presence known either way.
